Chuti

A day off from work and a holiday, are the same word: chuti

Some of the chuti celebrated while we were here have included the deshi version of president's day, and a day celebrating Bangla, the language, which is a big deal.

A day off is a really nice thing.  I've seldom been so pleased to do nothing at all.

  1. You two look very tired, and very happy!
Sun shining and birds chirping here today, saw my first crocus in the garden today.

  2. Glad you two have a day off. You deserve it, although with four children, I dont think there is such a thing. Now you know that photos taken in America always make you look ten pounds heavier, right? But photos taken in Bangladesh make you look ten pounds thinner....are you eating enough? The MOM here is worried about you two (mmmmm, wont you have another portion of yellow cauliflower?).You could start a new diet fad in the US and write a book and call it The Yellow Diet.
Daddy and I are enjoying all your blahgs, all the pix of grandkids, as well as all the medical photos and stories. We are so impressed with how you are improvising at the hospital, doing so much with so little. Its amazing what one can do without.

And I could do without ten pounds myself.Gotta go make me some of that Yellow Food too.
